Our Work Together
My work with you is always in the spirit of collaboration.  I am a deep and attentive listener, but also an interactive therapist.  One of my goals is to give you my "toolbox" so you can manage your life outside the office.  I invite you into feelings, which I see as a compass, to guide you through fear, desire, hope, anger, blame, happiness and joy.  
Therapy is about exploring the dark and the light, celebrating the joy and overcoming hardship.  We are in this together, you are not alone!
-I encourage those that seek out my services to be honest and open about feelings. 
-I make every effort to create a safe and non-judgmental space to share painful experiences, and emotional feelings so that the road that leads one to healing is a clear and accepting path.
-My guidance of navigating through difficult topics or subject matter is a common practice in order to bring more understanding to the situation and the deeper meaning of things.
-I will always conduct my sessions with the patience and compassion needed to get to the source or cause of each individual topic. Often each topic is a puzzle piece that needs to be put together to achieve the “big picture.” I fervently believe that it is important to understand what specifics you are going through to create that full puzzle picture.
-Together we will take a more in-depth look into your family of origin and close relationships to better understand what you are going through and how these things may affect the current state of mind.
-I welcome fear, sadness, grief, anger and many other forms of emotion, with open arms, so these feelings are expressed and received instead of repressed and swept under the rug to be forgotten.
-I also has an acute eye for creating awareness around body language and bodily reactions to sensitivities.  Our body holds memories, reactions, feelings and trauma.  Listening to the body is looking at the "whole" person.  Our non-verbal communication offers insight into the psyche.

Fees and policies

I offer both 50 and 75 minute sessions.  In our initial phone consultation we will discuss my fee and offerings in more detail.   
Please know I offer several sliding scale appointments because I want therapy to affordable for everyone!  Sliding scale begins at $80 and is based on need and income.  My sliding scale therapy times are from 9am - 3pm.



Each session is for 50 minutes, however we can arrange 75 minutes if you prefer.  It's important to remain consistent throughout our work, so we will meet weekly.  I have a 48-hour cancellation policy.  All cancellations should be done by phone or email.  


I am not on any insurance panels therefore I accept private pay only.  If you are eligible for reimbursement, I will create a monthly super bill for you to submit to your insurance.  I do accept direct HSA payments if you have a card with a visa or MasterCard logo on it.
